It describes the history of Asperger’s Syndrome by following Hans Asperger himself, and covers the problematic history of the namesake to the now-obselete diagnosis.

It traverses various historical ‘treatment’ approaches, including many controversial and downright horrific methods, including ABA and eugenics. An excellent, instructive and very compelling read, but take care of yourself during certain chapters (examples include the origins of ABA therapy and autistics in WWII).
